How can I run for town office?
First, you must be a registered voter in Stratham. You must register to run for any elected position during the annual filing period, in person, at the Town Clerk's office.  This year, (2012)  the filing period is from January 25th through February 3rd.  We will be open on February 3rd from 8:00 - 12:30 for our regular business hours, as well as from 3:00 -5:00 pm for filing purposes only.   Please call the town offices at 772-4741 for more information.

Candidates’ Night - March 6, 2012    6:30 p.m.
Every year the Wiggin Memorial Library sponsors a community Candidates’ Night.  This is a forum where voters can meet town and school district candidates and learn a little about why they are running and their positions on issues.  Please refer to the Library’s site about a month before Town Elections for a listing of the scheduled date.  All registered candidates for town and school offices are invited to attend.

Town Officers elected positions open for the Town Election on March13,  2012 are:   Library Trustees - 2 positions, three year term for each;   Board of Selectmen - 1 position, three year term;
Supervisors of the checklist - 1 position, six year term;  Trustees of the Trust Fund - 1 position, three year term;  Cemetery Trustee - 1 position, three year term;  Moderator - 1 position, two year term.

Stratham School District elected positions open for the Town Election on March 13, 2012 are: School Board Members - 2 positions, three year term for each;  
School District Clerk - 1 position, three year term.
