Trolleys in Stratham

Trolley Barn on Portsmouth Ave.

Trolleys served Stratham from 1902 to 1913. The barn, which burned in 1966, was on the circle at the current site of Cadieux Furniture, 145 Portsmouth Avenue. A blacksmith used the barn after the trolley went out of business. Later there was an upstairs apartment occupied by Charlie and Marion Jewell Brown, when Charlie maintained the town road machinery.
