ENERGY COMMISSION NEWS
Stratham Takes First Step to Explore Community Power
On December 19th, the Select Board - on the recommendation of the Stratham Energy Commission (SEC) - appointed an Energy Aggregation Committee for the purposes of creating a plan for Community Power in Stratham in accordance with New Hampshire RSA 53E.  Communities all over the state are exploring their ability to join together and combine purchasing power to offer lower costs to residential customers.  The members, who are the same members who also serve on the Energy Commission, will begin their work in January 2023.  If you have questions or are interested in this effort, please reach out to krichard@strathamnh.gov and she will connect you with the Energy Aggregation Committee.  To learn more about community power in NH, please read this article and or visit Community Power Coalition of NH.

With current electric prices at all-time highs, there is no need to wait for those residents looking for alternative supply options for electricity. See the link to NH residential competitive electric supply companies here.
