We wish you a Thanksgiving filled with gratitude, peace and joy.
Please note, Town Offices will be closed on Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving.
THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY - DELAY IN TRASH / RECYCLING PICK UP
According to the 2022-23 curbside collection calendar the Thanksgiving holiday will only impact Thursday and Friday pick-ups. This means if your trash/recycling pick up is normally on Thursday, it will be Friday the week of Thanksgiving. Friday's pick-up will be on Saturday. Tuesday and Wednesday routes remain on their usual schedule. If you have any questions, please contact Karen Richard 772-7391 x187.
TRANSFER STATION - WINTER SCHEDULE
The Transfer Station will begin its winter schedule in December (Dec. 1 - March 31). It will no longer be open on Thursdays and will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (it will be open on Saturday, December 3rd). The Transfer Station will be open the first and third Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. As always, please remember, checks only. The Transfer Station attendant cannot accept cash or credit/debit cards.
TAX BILLS ARE COMING
Please be on the lookout for tax bills that will be due 30 days after they are mailed which we anticipate happening on Monday, with a due date on December 21. With the 2nd half of property tax season upon us, as a reminder, there are various ways that Stratham property owners can pay their property taxes. Property taxes can be paid in the office with cash, check or money order or you can also pay your taxes online here, however transaction fees are incurred.
Upon receipt of your tax bill and, if you have a mortgage, it is suggested that you reach out to your lender if your taxes are escrowed to ensure timely payments are received. The Tax Collector’s Office does not send separate invoices to lenders, all tax bills are sent to the homeowner. Please feel free to contact us directly should you have any questions, (603) 772-4741 ext. 140.
