Review, revise, and vote on Resolution 2019-01:

A RESOLUTION OF THE STRATHAM RECREATION SOFTBALL BOARD TO DISSOLVE THE RECREATION SOFTBALL PROGRAM AND ENROLL STRATHAM AS A “MEMBER TOWN” IN A NEW YOUTH SOFTBALL ORGANIZATION TO BE FORMED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH EXETER JUNIOR SOFTBALL LEAGUE (EJSL).

Next meeting will be November 12th at 7PM

Running List of Follow Up Topics:

Budget forecast – tabled to June meeting

Function managers confirm requested budget for 2019 season

Hillary asked everyone to come to with suggestions on how to raise funds, such as expanding the concession stand to sell more

Hillary also suggested that we try to line up different kinds of sponsorships such as for the concession stand, dugouts, etc.

Bylaws/Board Governance Requirements

Sean has been attending Rec Commission meetings

Rec Commission will be reviewing bylaws, currently looking at section about how programs are run; Sean volunteered to draft revision

Get written policy for how registration emails can and can’t be used (EHS softball camp/EHS playoff game/etc)

Future vision for Stratham’s softball program

Capital improvements – Phil and Carrie Oak, contacts for Lowe’s program

MC dugout rot repair

Stevens dugout improvements

Infield material hoppers

Atlantic League Topics:

Closer cooperation with EJSL

More visibility into Atlantic league operations for Stratham Rec

Agreement that there needs to be league rules communicated ahead of time

Need to set the date for the all-coaches meeting before registration opens

Need Atlantic league meeting to set rules - Hillary to reach out to EJSL to request meeting and notify Stratham board

Use of machines vs. coach pitch to be discussed with Atlantic league
