A message from the Statham Youth Baseball Board......

Parents,

We hope everyone had a great summer, we've received feedback from the 2019 season and as we look forward to the 2020 season, we're looking to adapt the program to incorporate that feedback. With the demographic changes in the town, we need to change the program to meet those challenges, while maintaining the elements of our program and local control.

In 2020, the board approved the merging our charter at the Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Level with Great Bay. Great Bay will consist of Epping, Newmarket and Stratham. At the recreation level, there will be little difference from previous years. Just better integration of schedules and improved communications to teams.

Each town will have a director and committee to coordinate volunteers, fundraise and marshal Rec department resources. This will allow Stratham to maintain local control of the program (team construction, fees, uniforms etc) during the Rec season and allow us to continue to field summer travel programs like the Cooperstown program. It will also allow us to field all-star teams at each age level (8, 9, 10, 11, 12 60' & 70', 13,14,15) under the Great Bay Charter with increased numbers of kids at each grade level.

We will continue to need volunteers and coaches to coordinate the various leagues. While we're excited about the possibilities this opens up for our kids, it will be a challenge to get the elements all right the first season. Additional feedback and help is always welcome to help set up an enduring program that will thrive into the future.
