Design

During the December 3rd Stratham Board of Selectmen meeting the design contract for the Skatepark was signed. The Town has elected to work with Pillar Design Studios out of Chandler Arizona. The Skatepark Committee is excited to work with Pillar Design Studios to create an inviting skatepark here in Stratham. Pillar Design Studios brings years of experience and comprensive portfolio of skateparks. Pillar Design Studios has done work in the Northeast region of the United States and understands the harsh winters and the stresses they can place on a concrete park.

Here is an outline of the design contract elements and what is next for the design phase of the project:

Phase I - Planning and Project Management

• Project Management- final site selection
• Define scope, budget and collection of materials
• Kick of meeting! (phone conference)
• Skatepark flow and skill diagram

Phase II- Schematic Design and Preliminary Cost Estimate

• Onsite design meeting
• Skatepark conceptual designs
• Design review meeting
• Final Skatepark plan
• Skatepark fly-through video
• Estimate of probable construction cost
• In-Kind Donation Allocation
• Fundraising assistance and tools

Phase III- Design Development

• Design Approval Meeting
• Project Design Development Plans
• Cost Estimate
• Client Staff Coordination Meetings

Phase IV- Constrcution Documents

• Skatepark Development Meeting
• 75% Constrcution Documents
• Construction Drawings
• Statement of Probable Construction Cost
• 75% Design Development Review Subittal
• 100% Construction Documents Meeting
• 100% Construction Documents
