Highway Safety - Copy Highway Safety Lunch & Presentation: Stratham PD

Please join us on Feb. 10th at 12pm for an informative presentation by Brian Holbrook, of the Stratham Police Department. Brian will be presenting on bringing the highway safety message and how to make roads safer. Lunch will be served!

Agencies statewide reaching out to NH’s motoring public to make road safer!
The Purpose of the Community Outreach and Betterment (COB) Grant is to provide funds for law enforcement agencies to bring the highway safety message to New Hampshire drivers, through public presentations, who are predominantly involved in serious bodily injury and fatal crashes according to the data gathered by the OHS while fostering positive law enforcement and public interactions and relationships.

Cozy Soup Lunch & Book Exchange

Come join us on February 17th from 12:30-1:30pm in the Senior Gathering Room and " Soup Away the Winter Blues".

We will provide 4 different soups and fresh bread! Feel free to bring a comforting dessert and a book to exchange.

Veronique, the Master Soup chef, will join us for some soup tips and tricks on how to master the art of cooking a delicious soup at home.

February 13th, from 2pm-4pm, in the Seawall Room, at the Stratham Municipal Center.

Join us with your Victorian Hats and gloves as we learn about the " Tea Room" craze that began in New England and took over the 1920's and beyond.

Enjoy Tea, Snacks, and a 'Cuppa" History.

Hop in the Rec Van to enjoy some delicious food at the Airfield Cafe in North Hampton. A fun place to eat and admire the planes- both decorative and literally.  Pay for Breakfast on your own.

Weekly Walking Group

Stroll along with Diane Smith and other locals every Thursday morning for our weekly walking group. The group meets at 9am at the Great Bay Discovery Center located on Depot Road in Stratham, NH. Diane will lead you on a relaxing three mile walk around quiet neighborhoods at a conversational pace. We welcome new members! Make new friends while getting fit!!

Yummy Yoga

When: Thursday afternoons12:00-1:00PM

Where: Meeting Room A at the Stratham Municipal Center

Come join us for Yummy Yoga with Diane Smith, certified Yoga teacher and new Program Assistant for Stratham Parks & Recreation. Enjoy gentle flow yoga geared specifically for those new to yoga or those who are interested in a gentle practice. This class incorporates simple flowing sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower paced movements focusing on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility.

FREE for Stratham residents. 7 classes for $65.00 for non-residents. Registration Required.

 


Mah Jong Mondays

MahJong on Mondays from 1pm to 3pm  This will be a relaxing, fun afternoon as we explore Mahjong.


Learn to Play Bridge

When: Friday afternoons from 2:00pm-4:00PM. 

Where: Senior Gathering Room at the Stratham Municipal Center

This program is FREE!!! Registration Required.

“2-over-1 GAME FORCE” Want to brush up on your Bridge skills? Join Joe Watts, seasoned Bridge player to learn and play duplicate bridge. A basic knowledge of Bridge is required. I.e., previous experience with “Party Bridge” or Bridge according to Goren. Also intermediate players who would like to learn two over one are welcome. All supplies and lesson handouts will be provided.

Bridge is an excellent “brain” game with both strategy and social interaction being key. Don’t be intimidated, this will be a no pressure friendly atmosphere experience.
