About the Stratham Fire Department

The Stratham Volunteer Fire Department proudly provides fire protection, rescue services, and emergency medical care to the Town of Stratham. We are a volunteer-based fire department supported by a full-time paramedic program, ensuring reliable emergency response coverage for our community around the clock.

Our department responds to a wide range of emergencies using a modern and versatile fleet that includes rescue engines, a forestry truck, a tanker, a command vehicle, a utility vehicle, and two ambulances. This combination of equipment and trained personnel allows us to respond effectively to fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, hazardous conditions, and other incidents throughout town.

Emergency Medical Services

In addition to our dedicated volunteer firefighters and EMTs, Stratham operates a full-time paramedic program that provides advanced life support services. This model blends community volunteerism with professional EMS coverage, ensuring residents receive high-quality medical care when it matters most.

Community Involvement

Serving Stratham goes beyond emergency response. The Fire Department is deeply involved in town life and community traditions, including Stratham SummerFest, the First Responder Fall Classic, Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies, pancake breakfasts, and other public events throughout the year. We believe strong community connections are a vital part of public safety.

Training & Operations

• Training Sessions: Held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM, at the Firehouse or as otherwise announced
• Day Crew Coverage: Staffed daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Sunday
• Night Crew Coverage: Staffed daily with 2 on-call members plus back-up

Our members regularly train to maintain state and national certifications, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of the community while operating safely and professionally.
