Important Notice to Our Customers

Effective immediately, all motor vehicle transactions must be presented within 15 minutes of closing. These transactions can be complex and require sufficient time to complete accurately. To help ensure your transaction is processed smoothly, please bring all required documentation when you visit.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Veteran plates and antique plates will both be available at the Town Clerk's Office starting January 1st, 2025. 

**For Veteran Plates**:

  • Please bring your discharge paperwork (such as DD-214) that indicates an honorable discharge.
  • Additionally, ensure that you have all necessary documentation needed to register your vehicle.

**For Antique Plates**:

  • To qualify for an antique plate, the vehicle (including trucks) must be over 25 years old.
  • The vehicle should be maintained for use in exhibitions, club activities, parades, and other public interest events, but not for use in commerce. For the purposes of this section, "maintained for use" shall mean a motor vehicle or motorcycle in its original condition or restored to original or better condition and not intended for daily use. 

Be sure to prepare all required documents ahead of time to ensure a smooth registration process!

The **Town Clerk's Office** is committed to the efficient issuance of vital records, including motor vehicle registrations, marriage licenses, birth, marriage, death, and divorce certificates, as well as dog licenses. We strive to ensure the democratic process by conducting all local, state, and national elections, maintaining accurate voter registration records, and facilitating absentee ballot requests. Our aim is to enhance civic engagement and uphold the rights of our citizens.

The **Tax Collector's Office** is dedicated to the fair and timely collection of property taxes, ensuring that all property owners meet their obligations. We oversee the liening and deeding process for past due taxes in accordance with relevant state laws (R.S.A.'s), maintaining the financial health of our community. 

Together, we prioritize excellent customer service, providing assistance with professionalism, respect, and attention to detail. We seek to create a welcoming environment that fosters trust and encourages community involvement. Our goal is to empower our residents with the resources they need while upholding the highest standards of accuracy in all our operations.
