Stratham Town Road Maintenance

The Stratham Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of town-owned roads, helping ensure they remain safe and passable year-round. This includes routine roadway maintenance, drainage and catch basin work, right-of-way upkeep, and seasonal operations such as snow and ice control.

What We Maintain

Road maintenance activities may include:

• Pavement repairs and surface maintenance

• Drainage improvements and catch basin maintenance

• Shoulder and ditch work

• Vegetation management within the public right-of-way

• Storm response and emergency roadway repairs

The public right-of-way extends beyond the paved surface and allows the Town to maintain roads, drainage systems, and utilities necessary for safe travel and proper stormwater flow.
