At its early September meeting, the Select Board adopted ordinances related to e-bikes and the walking of multiple dogs in Stratham Hill Park and the adjacent town owned properties.  These decisions followed two public hearings as well as recommendations from the Conservation Commission, Trail Management Advisory Committee, Stratham Hill Park Association, and the owners of abutting properties that have conservation easements.

In keeping with the ordinance adopted in 1974 that prohibits the use of any motorized vehicles in the park, the updated ordinance now clarifies that all classes of e-bikes are also banned in the park and the adjacent town owned properties.  The second adopted ordinance bans the walking of more than two dogs simultaneously.  This is in line with an existing ordinance that bans commercial activity within Stratham Hill Park and the adjacent town owned properties without Select Board approval, and aims to limit the number of dogs under the control of a single responsible person.
