The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will be replacing two tidal culverts at the west end of Squamscott Road. As a result, Squamscott Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, October 5, 2026, for approximately four to six weeks.
During construction, through traffic will be rerouted through the Stratham Circle to Route 33 (Portsmouth Avenue). NHDOT will install temporary traffic signs and controls to clearly mark the revised traffic pattern throughout the construction period.
Motorists should reduce their speed, use caution, and plan for possible delays, particularly during peak traffic periods.
Squamscott Road will remain accessible to local traffic only from the Route 33 (Portsmouth Avenue) intersection.
