Board, Ballard and Chief

WELCOME OFFICER BALLARD!
The Stratham Police Department welcomed its newest member, Officer Ballard, who took his Oath of Office at the Select Board meeting on Monday, May 4.  After completing 18 weeks at the academy, he now begins his Field Training phase—the final step before transitioning to solo patrol.  This milestone reflects his dedication and commitment to serving the community with professionalism and integrity.  Please join us in congratulating Officer Ballard and wishing him a long, safe, and successful career.

CLERK'S CORNER

Property Tax Bills
Tax bills are being mailed on Wednesday, May 20th with a due date of July 1st.  All property owners will receive a tax bill.  If you have a mortgage lender with an escrow account, it is best practice to provide your lender with a copy of the tax bill.  Most lenders have access to the files electronically.  In addition, the tax bills should be available through the NH Tax Kiosk no earlier than Thursday, May 21st.    https://www.nhtaxkiosk.com/

WIGGIN MEMORIAL LIBRARY STRATEGIC PLANNING
The Wiggin Memorial Library Board of Trustees and staff are conducting a strategic planning process looking two years into the future.  Gathering community input has already begun, as we held two highly successful focus groups this past week.  In early June, we'll announce and distribute a community wide survey, which will be available both digitally and in print.  Then in September, we'll host a community forum to gather one last round of input.  This will ultimately lead to the strategic plan being drafted and made available publicly sometime in late October/early November!  For updates on our strategic planning process, please use this link.   https://www.library.strathamnh.gov/about/plan.php

NEW FACES AT DPW

Many staff members may already recognize Patrick St. Onge, who joined the Town earlier this year as the DPW’s Facilities Maintenance Lead. Since coming on board, Patrick has been helping maintain Town buildings and facilities with a wide range of experience in building maintenance, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs. His background includes work with Oyster River School District, Langdon Place of Exeter, and his own home improvement business. We’re glad to officially welcome Patrick to the team and appreciate all the work he’s already been doing around Town facilities!
