As we have shared in this newsletter, the NH constitution and statutes require property subject to a tax based on value, be valued anew at least every five years. The last revaluation in Stratham was completed in 2019.
Next steps include:
1. Preliminary values will be sent out to households in late summer of this year.
2. Residents will have an opportunity to request informal hearings for concerns, questions and/or clarification of their values.
3. New values will be utilized to calculate the second-half tax bills that go out at the end of the year.
More information about the revaluation can be found on the Town’s Assessing website including:

Library Meeting Room
On World Bee Day (yes, it's a thing!), come to the library for a special presentation by Joe Marttila from SeaBee Honey. Joe will talk to us about planting for pollinators so our gardens can bee all that they can bee for our friends, the bees! SeaBee is based in Rye with the mission to preserve both pollinators and farmland in the Seacoast area. It's all part of our #wiggingrows series for 2024! It's almost time for Summer Reading!
