BOS Minutes 7/7/17 - Special Meeting

MINUTES OF THE JULY 7, 2017 BOARD OF SELECTMEN’S SPECIAL MEETING

MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Bruno Federico, Selectmen Joseph Lovejoy and Michael Houghton, and Town Administrator Paul Deschaine.  Also present was Parks & Recreation Director Seth Hickey and Public Works Director Colin Laverty.

The meeting was opened at 8:05 AM by the Chair.

Mr. Lovejoy moved to go into non-public session to discuss with Mr. Hickey and Mr. Laverty a personnel matter that may also affect the reputation of another who is not a member of the Board.  Mr. Federico seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.  At 9:45 AM, Mr. Houghton moved to come out of non-public session, and to seal the minutes due to matters discussed.  Mr. Lovejoy seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

Mr. Lovejoy moved to authorize the expenditure for a prize of up to $100 for a safety logo contest.  Mr. Houghton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

Mr. Houghton moved to authorized Karen Richard to become a full-time employee thereby increasing her normal weekly schedule of work to 40 hours.  Her full-time status would start upon mutual agreement between Mr. Deschaine and Ms. Richard.  Mr. Lovejoy seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

At 9:50 AM, Mr. Houghton moved to adjourn.  Mr. Lovejoy seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
