TRAIL MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE UPDATE
At their meeting on February 22, 2022, the Stratham Select Board accepted the Trail Management Advisory Committees report. This report is a culminative effort that spanned over eleven months of work by the Committee. The report provided a phased approach to the management of the trail network at Stratham Hill Park.  At their February meeting, the Select Board supported the continuance of the TMAC under a new charge for 2022.  The Committees charge for the upcoming year will focus on a comprehensive signage plan with the Conservation Commission, Heritage Commission and Park Association as well as a maintenance plan and trail work days. This new charge was formally adopted by the Select Board on April 4th. The TMAC is poised to get started over the next month with their work plan for 2022.  If you are interested in staying up to date with the TMAC, subscribe to their meeting notifications here.  If you want to be more involved in the TMAC's work and you are a resident of Stratham, the Select Board is recognizing three vacancies on the TMAC.  The Board has authorized up to nine residents to serve on the Committee.  If you are interested in serving on the Committee, please complete and return this application to shickey@strathamnh.gov.  Applications will be accepted through a rolling process until the vacancies are filled.

INTRODUCING: SMART VOTER, ACTIVE VOTER
The library won a grant to host community conversations about voter information: what we need, when we need it, how can we get it? We would love to hear what you think!  We have planned three community conversations during the week of April 11 and everyone is invited.  We can create a better (and constantly improving) voter environment where it is even easier to get the information you want in a way that works for you.

Register on our website to let us know that you plan to come. Bring a friend or a neighbor along, too! We need everyone’s voices – new voters, experienced voters, busy parents, and active retirees. Register today and we’ll talk soon!

STRATHAM HISTORICAL SOCIETY - APPRAISAL DAY!
For over 30 years, Stratham Historical Society has entertained and educated members and guests with its own version of The Antiques Roadshow.  Sunday is the next big day!
APPRAISAL DAY

Sunday, April 10, 2022 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Stratham Historical Society Antiques Appraisal Day, an in-person event at the Morgera Room in the Firehouse.  This always popular bi-annual event features antique appraisers Dan Olmstead of Daniel Olmstead Antiques in Newfields and Greg Pruitt and Lionel Loveless, owners of Collector's Eye in Stratham and Route 1 Antiques in Hampton Falls.  For over 30 years, it has been the lone annual fundraiser in which we participate.  Grab those family heirlooms of intrigue, check your barn and search your attic for those items you wish to learn more about and have valued.  See you for all the fun at Appraisal Day!

NEWS FROM THE TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE
The Town Clerk's office will be closed on April 20th and May 11th so that they may attend an offsite training.  We apologize for any inconvenience.  Thank you for your understanding!

It’s not too late to be entered into Stratham’s Top Dog contest!  Register your pup not later than April 30th at the Town Clerk’s Office or online
