IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT UPCOMING ELECTIONS
The current public health emergency poses new challenges for this year’s elections.  Utilizing guidance from the State of New Hampshire, the Select Board, Town staff, Moderator, Town Clerk, Supervisors of the Checklist and Health Officer are working in coordination to ensure safe elections for every Stratham resident.

Please see below for important information about the dates and locations of the upcoming elections:

  • The State Primary will be held on Tuesday, September 8th at the Stratham Municipal Center at 10 Bunker Hill Avenue.
  • The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd at the Stratham Memorial School at 39 Gifford Farm Road.

Recently, the Select Board, in accordance its duties in RSA 658 and in consultation with the Moderator and Town Clerk voted to designate the Stratham Memorial School as the polling location for the General Election on November 3rd.  The Board, staff and election officials will ensure notice of the polling location for November 3rd is shared widely and repeatedly following the September 8th State Primary.

We appreciate the public’s cooperation and that of the various election officials as we all prepare to carry-out this important civic duty at this unprecedented time.

PFAS UPDATE
NH DES has provided a response to the Town’s Fire Department Site Investigation early this spring.  The response has been posted on the Town's PFAS  Resource page.  The Board and Town staff are working in coordination with our engineering consultant and DES to create a work plan that responds to the State’s requests of the Town in following-up on the contamination.  This plan will include the development of a Remedial Action Plan (RAP), presumptive treatment options and a Ground Water Management application. As the Town develops this plan, it will communicate with affected property owners on next steps and timelines.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SURVEY
The Stratham Police Department needs your help!  The Department is asking Stratham residents to fill out a brief survey to help determine the best ways it can serve the community.  Deadline for submission is Friday, August 14th.   The survey link can be found here.
