SHP TRAIL MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
At their regular meeting on February 1st, the Select Board established an ad hoc committee on how to best to follow-up on the recommendations and issues addressed in the Trail Assessment & Inventory Report for Stratham Hill Park. The Board created a specific charge for the Stratham Hill Park Trail Management Ad Hoc Committee.

Any Stratham resident interested in serving as a member of the ad-hoc committee is encouraged to complete this form and return no later than February 23rd at 4pm to Karen Richard, Executive Assistant at krichard@strathamnh.gov. All questions regarding the report or the ad hoc committee should be directed to Seth Hickey, Parks and Recreation Director at shickey@strathamnh.gov.

TOWN ASSESSOR RETIRES
The end of 2020 saw the end of an era as well with the retirement of our long time Assessor, Andrea Lewy.  Andrea oversaw three town-wide revaluations in her 15+ years with Stratham. Her knowledge of the assessing field as well as her personal connection with the residents of Stratham were a true asset to us all and will be missed.  Please join the Select Board in recognizing and thanking Andrea Lewy for her service to the Town over these many years.

The assessing function is currently being carried out by certified NH Assessor Christina Murdough on an interim basis, and longtime Assessing Assistant Jim Joseph.  Please feel free to contact Jim with any questions that you might have.  The future configuration of our Assessing function will be an early priority in 2021 for the Select Board.

HERITAGE COMMISSION - OLD TOWN HALL
The Commission is proud to announce that Stratham’s 1877 Old Town Hall was just listed on the New Hampshire Register of Historic Places by the State Historical Resources Council. The goal of the Register is to “recognize, honor, and promote the state’s historical, cultural, and archaeological heritage.”
