Stratham Recreation Commission Action Sheet
October 16, 2019

This action sheet is provided as a means of communicating actions of the Stratham Recreation Commission to the public in a timely manner. Meeting Minutes associated with this meeting will be published following drafting and approval of the Commission.

At 7:03 pm, Jeff opened the meeting.

In Attendance: Tracy Abbott, Sean Burke, Sean Kotkowski, Jeff Simeone
Absent: Frank LaSorsa, April Mason
Guests: Seth Hickey, Parks & Recreation Director; Hilary, Stratham Softball Board Member

I               Secretary’s Report:  August/September/October Meeting Minutes will be voted on at our next meeting

II             Parks & Recreation Director Report

Seth discussed the Dashboard with us that he presented to the Select Board.

III            Communications and Miscellaneous:

No communications

IV            Old Business

Seth updated us on the new Senior space being created at the Municipal Center; $10,000 allotted for furnishings and other items needed for new space.

Seth will send the link to the survey results.

V             New Business

                A.   Discussed Softball Board request to dissolve the Stratham recreation program, merge with Exeter.

                B.   Reviewed the new Recreation Department’s Mission Statement.

                C.   Approved the purchase of a new trail groomer for $1400, and the sale of the current snowmobile.

                D.  Brian DeKoening resigned from the Recreation Commission.

VI            Adjournment   

                At 9:15pm, Sean K. motioned to adjourn the meeting, Sean B. seconded, all in favor.
