Select Board Special Meeting 3/9/2020

MINUTES OF THE MARCH 9, 2020 SELECT BOARD SPECIAL MEETING

MEMBER’S PRESENT:  Board Members Chair Mike Houghton, Vice Chair Joe Lovejoy, Board member Allison Knab were in attendance along with Town Administrator David Moore.

The Board Chair opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m.

Board Members and the Town Administrator discussed the Town Meeting agenda and reviewed the role each would play during the meeting.  The Board then reviewed the Town Meeting presentation and made changes and notes on the overall message and content of the speaking parts.

The Board then moved on to other business, including a report from Town Administrator.

Mr. Lovejoy motioned to approve the minutes of 2/18/20.  Mr. Houghton seconded the motion which passed unanimously.  Ms. Knab motioned to approve the minutes of 3/6/20.  Mr. Lovejoy seconded the motion which passed unanimously.

The Board voted to authorize the Town Administrator to sign an extension of the CDBG Grant Agreement with CDFA; noting the EDC requested more time to deploy the funds to eligible businesses.  He noted the Rockingham EDC advised him the program was off to a slow start given program changes/requirements with the federal funds.

Mr. Moore reminded the Board of the plan for replacing the police cruiser totaled in a collision in June 2019 utilizing insurance proceeds in combination with funds from the detail account to put a new vehicle online.  He advised that plan is moving forward this week.

At 8:45 p.m. Mr. Houghton motioned to adjourn.  Ms. Knab seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
