OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT UPDATE
A team of volunteers, town staff and state officials met on Wednesday, February 9th for the second drill in preparation for an April FEMA-evaluated exercise of the Seabrook Station radiological emergency plan.  These drills are mandatory for Towns within the 10-mile radius Emergency Planning Zone of the Plant and held three times a year during drill years (every other year).  In between drills and exercises our Emergency Management Director David Barr, a volunteer, coordinates the Town's departments and volunteers in order to ensure readiness and maintain our Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at the Fire Station.  This year we made some technological upgrades to the EOC and held a training for emergency management "players" on state-wide web-based response tool.  The Team also added four great new volunteers who have past professional experience in emergency management, planning, law enforcement and logistics.  We look forward to the April 2022 graded Seabrook Exercise.

New 2022 Seabrook Emergency brochures were mailed earlier this year directly to residents in the zone, if you would like an extra copy they can be found at the Library and Municipal Center.

EXTRA CASELLA PRINTED CALENDARS AVAILABLE
Last week, residents should have received new 2022 Casella Calendars which provide information about recycling dos and don'ts, schedule of pick-ups including holiday interruptions, and other information.  If you would like, additional printed copies, we have them available in the Municipal Center lobby and in the Town Administrative office.  Please take some if you need them.
