HONORING BOB O'SULLIVAN
Recently, the town of Stratham lost an extremely dedicated public servant when former School Board and Select Board member Bob O’Sullivan passed away.  During his 19 years on the School Board, he was instrumental in the implementation of many advancements in the school system and enjoyed serving Stratham, including in the role of Select Board member.  To read our tribute to Bob, a salute to Bob from the 2020 School District Town Meeting, and his obituary, please click here

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE TOWN MEETING ELECTION AND SECOND SESSION (COVID Precautions)
At their regular meeting this week, the Select Board met with the Town Moderator and Town Clerk to make final preparations for Town Meeting 2022.  Please note the following COVID-related guidelines.

TOWN ELECTION (FIRST SESSION) 2022 – Tuesday, March 8th at the Stratham Memorial School, 39 Gifford Farm Rd.  Polls will be open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m
The Select Board, Moderator and Town Clerk recommend masks be worn by voters in the polling location.  If you know you will need assistance at the polls due to a COVID-19 infection, please contact the Town Clerk's Office by calling 772-4741 ext. 140 by Monday March 7th at 5:00 p.m. to receive guidance on how best to vote in person on that date. At this election, voters choose elected officials for Town offices and vote on zoning articles for the Town.  Voters also choose elected officials for the local school district and the Exeter Regional Cooperative School District (ERCSD) as well as warrant article(s) for the ERCSD.

TOWN MEETING SECOND SESSION 2022 – Saturday, March 12th at 9:00 a.m.
Masks are also recommended to be worn for this session.  In the auditorium at CMS, a cordoned off area will be available for those who wish to be seated only with other masked attendees. At this second session, there is no opportunity to complete an absentee ballot.  The meeting will be held at the Cooperative Middle School at 100 Academic Way. At this session, voters will act on the remaining Town Warrant articles (Articles 12-18).

PLEASE NOTE:  The Town Clerk’s Office will be open until 4:00 p.m. on Monday March the 7th for regular transactions but will remain open until 5:00 p.m. in order to accept absentee ballots.

SPRING SPORTS
Registration is currently open for our spring baseball, softball and soccer programs. This spring we are offering spring softball and soccer to youths in kindergarten through 6th grade. Our baseball program runs all the way up to high school.  Register today!

ICE RINK AT STRATHAM HILL PARK
The ice rink at Stratham Hill Park is officially CLOSED for the winter season. The Nicerink endured damage to the side walls with the recent strong winds and rainfall forcing us to drain the rink sooner than expected. The natural rink will also be closed due to warmer temperatures and unsafe ice conditions.

Great Bay Food Truck Festival is BACK for 2022!
Stratham Parks and Recreation is excited to join forces again with the Exeter Chamber of Commerce to bring this great event to Stratham Hill Park on Saturday, May 7th. Tickets will go on sale via Eventbrite on March 7th.
