PUBLIC HEARING ON THE WARRANT - FEBRUARY 8, 2021
The Select Board will hold a Public Hearing on the 2021 Town Meeting Warrant on Monday, February 8th at 7:00 pm.  The hearing will be held at the Municipal Center and live streamed via Facebook Live on the Town of Stratham Facebook Page.  For more information including draft budget materials and draft warrant articles for the business session, please visit the Town Meeting 2021 page (reachable via one of the black tabs at the top of our homepage). 

AUTOMATED CURBSIDE COLLECTION - BIN PLACEMENT - 3 FEET BETWEEN EACH BIN
Please watch this short video which gives important information about the placement of bins for the new Automated Curbside Collection program. For a diagram of how the bins should be placed at curbside, please see the Casella brochure mailed to you and available on line here

COLLECTION DELAY THIS WEEK DUE TO STORM: Due to the storm this week, all four collection routes were pushed back one day.  Friday's collection day will be held on Saturday.  Thank you for your patience.

REMINDER - DROP OFF OLD CONTAINERS AT TRANSFER STATION
Residents can bring their old trash containers and old recycling bins to the Transfer Station on Saturday February 6 and 20, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

TOWN MEETING 2021
The Town Election will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.  Polls will be open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  At this Election, voters choose elected officials for Town offices and vote on zoning articles for the Town.  Voters also choose elected officials for the local school district and the Exeter Regional Cooperative School District (ERCSD) as well as warrant article(s) for the ERCSD.  

UPDATE ON TOWN MEETING BUSINESS SESSION
The Select Board has selected Saturday March 27, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. as the date for the business session of Town Meeting.  The meeting will be held at the Exeter High School at 1 Blue Hawk Drive, Exeter, NH 03833 where multiple deliberative sessions and business session meetings in the region are being held this year.  The facility is able to provide social distancing appropriate for the pandemic environment.  The Board and Moderator are thankful for the cooperation and support of Exeter High School and the ECRSD in readily agreeing to support the community in this way.  Please stay tuned for more updates and information about how we will be working to ensure safety while conducting  the Town's business.

NEW HAMPSHIRE RETIREMENT SYSTEM OFFERS 'NHRS 101' SESSIONS
The New Hampshire Retirement System (NHRS, the retirement system) is offering “NHRS 101” online webinars in February.These sessions ­– not to be confused with the benefit information sessions regularly offered for members – will provide a broad, factual overview of the retirement system for NHRS members and retirees, municipal and school officials, lawmakers, and the general public. Among the topics included are plan governance, membership data, investment policy, contribution rates, and legislation.

Sessions have been scheduled for Friday, February 12, at 10 a.m., and Tuesday, February 16, at 4 p.m. The presentations are expected to run approximately 60 to 75 minutes depending on the number of questions. Both presentations will be via Webex. To register, visit www.nhrs.org/meetings-events/ and find the presentation you wish to attend. Registrants will receive a link to the webinar 24-48 hours prior to the event. Additional sessions may be added based on interest.
