2022 CASELLA CALENDAR AND BROCHURE 
Casella has posted their calendar and brochure for 2022, which will be mailed directly to residents this week.  Please keep a look out in this week's mail.  Any changes in trash / recycling pick up due to a holiday are noted on the calendar (there is no disruption to the normal schedule until Memorial Day).  Please review the brochure to learn how you can recycle better and keep it handy for easy reference.  As always, please have your trash and recycling bins curbside by 7:00 am and space the bins 3 feet apart.  Thank you for your continued cooperation! 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING TOWN ELECTION AND TOWN MEETING

  • Town election will be held on Tuesday, March 8 at the Stratham Memorial School, 39 Gifford Farm Road.  Polls open at 7:00am and will remain open until 7:00pm. 
  • Town meeting will be on Saturday, March 12 in the auditorium at the Cooperative Middle School, 100 Academic Way.  The meeting will begin at 9:00 am.
  • The Stratham School District Meeting will be held on Monday, March 7th at 6pm at the Stratham Memorial School. 
  • The Exeter Region Cooperative Board will be holding their deliberative session on Sunday, February 6th from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at Exeter High School, 1 Blue Hawk Drive, Exeter.  To learn more about the ERCSD, please visit their webpage. 

The Wiggin Memorial Library will once again be hosting a Voter Information Night on Tuesday, March 1st.  Please be on the look out for more details.

PUBLIC HEARING ON THE 2022 TOWN WARRANT
The Public Hearing on the 2022 Town Warrant will be on Thursday, February 3 in the Hutton Room at the Stratham Municipal Center beginning at 7:00 pm.  View the Public Notice here.  Additional materials will be posted to the Town Meeting 2022 website this week.

CANDIDATE FILING PERIOD REMINDER
As a reminder, the filing period to run for an elected office is January 19th -through January 28th.  Declarations of candidacy may be filed at the Town Clerk’s Office, 10 Bunker Hill Avenue.  Any candidate filing on the last day must file in person.  The last day of the filing period is a Friday, the Clerk's Office hours on that day will be 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.(all transactions) and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (for candidacy filing only).  Declaration of candidacy forms are available at the Town Clerks office.

Below are the Town offices up for election:

  • Select Board - 1 position 3 year term
  • Town Clerk - 1 position 1 year term (to fulfill prior elected official’s term)
  • Moderator – 1 position, 2 year term
  • Checklist Supervisor- 1 position, 6 year term
  • Cemetery Trustee - 1 position 3 year term
  • Trustees of the Trust Funds - 1 position, 3 year term
  • Library Trustee - 2 positions, 3 year term 

Below you will find links to the School positions open at the Local School District and Exeter Region Cooperative School District (ERCSD).  Note candidate filing for the Town and Local School District elections must be done at the Municipal Center (Town Clerk's Office).  For the ERCSD, you must go to the Central Office in Exeter at 30 Linden St.
