AUTOMATION PROGRAM STARTS FEBRUARY 2ND 
The new automated curbside collection program begins on Tuesday, February 2nd.  Special thanks to everyone for their cooperation and patience as we have worked to follow through with the many logistics to ensure an effective rollout.

  • Please watch this short video which gives important information about the placement of bins for the new Automated Curbside Collection program. 
  • For general information and background related to the process of how we got here, please refer back to this introductory message.  For additonal information, please visit Casella's website for the Town's program.
  • Key Dates:
    • February 2, 2021 – Start of automated curbside collections.  Residents may now begin to place new carts curbside for automated collection.
    • Saturday February 6 & 20, 2021 – Old container drop off at Transfer Station.  Old trash containers and recycle bins will be recycled.

LIBRARY
Need Tech Help to Register for Vaccine?  The library can help!  If you need help with:

  • getting an email so that you can get the verification and scheduling information,
  • getting registered or using your email on a smartphone or other device,
  • or navigating the registration site,

Call the library (772-4346) and we can help! The library has more information at https://www.library.strathamnh.gov/vaccineprocess.   

Remember, if you have questions about eligibility, your own specific situation, or other things about vaccinations the State's Covid hotline at 211 is available with trained personnel answering questions and they can even register you over the phone!

The Stratham Police Department is proud to announce that several members of the department received service awards for various actions performed throughout 2020. The awards were handed out during a special department meeting and lunch held at the town offices on Thursday, January 21, during which time officers were also recognized by members of the Fire Department for excellence.  We congratulate the recipients and join with all of Stratham in extending our gratefulness to all who serve in our Police Department. 

PD 2021 Awards Ceremony

PUBLIC HEARING ON THE WARRANT - FEBRUARY 8, 2021
The Select Board will hold a Public Hearing on the 2021 Town Meeting Warrant on Monday, February 8th at 7:00 pm.  The hearing will be held in Room A at the Municipal Center and live streamed via Facebook Live on the Town of Stratham Facebook Page.  

TOWN MEETING 2021
The Town Election will be held on Tuesday March 9, 2021.  Polls will be open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  At this Election, voters choose elected officals for Town offices and vote on zoning articles for the Town.  Voters also choose elected officials for the local school district and the Exeter Regional Cooperative School District (ECRSD) as well warrant article(s) for the ECRSD.  

Many other preparations are being made for Town Meeting.  Currently, the Select Board is working in coordination with the Town Moderator on the date, time and location of the business session.  Other preparations include developing the Town's Annual Report, preparing an operating budget and the Town Warrant articles the Town will vote on at the to be scheduled business session.

DATES FOR SCHOOL DISTRICTS
The Exeter Regional Cooperative School District will be holding their Deliberative Session on Saturday January 30th at 2:00 p.m.  For more information, please visit the SAU16 website.
The Stratham School District public hearing on the 2021 warrant will be held on February 10th at 5:30 p.m.  The Stratham School District Town Meeting (business session) will be held on Friday March 5th at 5:30 p.m.  

VOTER INFORMATION NIGHT
Once again this year, the Library will host an Information Night, which is an opportunity to introduce candidates and learn about the warrant articles that will appear on the Town Warrant (zoning articles and those to be voted on at the business session).  The event wil be held on Tuesday March 2nd at 7:00 p.m. **In-person and virtual.

COMPOST BINS & RAIN BARRELS
Compost bins and rain barrels are back! The Conservation Commission will be offering these items at cost. The Commission will be placing an order at the end of March-April time frame. Compost bins cost $58 each and rain barrels cost $65 each. More information to come on the Town website and Stratham Conservation Facebook page.
